The Pat and Diana Priestner Family, Waterloo Ford, and all CanadaOne Cares Dealerships, are dedicated to making a meaningful, lasting difference through thoughtful charitable giving. By supporting the needs of our communities we're building more than a company; we're building a legacy of care and commitment.
Waterloo Ford Cares
We're Proud to Support
Helping women and children find safety
Waterloo Ford Proudly Supports Wings of Providence
Waterloo Ford is proud to support Wings of Providence and the important work they do for women and children escaping domestic violence.
Last year, Waterloo Ford and Freedom Ford donated $30,000 in support of the WINGMAN Campaign, helping provide safe housing, resources, and support for families during an incredibly difficult time. This year, we are honoured to continue that commitment with a $40,000 donation to help Wings of Providence continue offering safety, care, and hope to those who need it most.
Supporting survivors across Edmonton
Waterloo Ford Proudly Supports the Sexual Assault Centre of Edmonton
Waterloo Ford is proud to support the Sexual Assault Centre of Edmonton and the critical services they provide for individuals affected by sexual violence.
Together with Freedom Ford, Sherwood Buick GMC, Rally Subaru, Subaru City, Toyota Northwest, and Sherwood Park Toyota, we are contributing to an $85,000 donation on behalf of the Pat and Diana Priestner Family. This support helps SACE continue offering trauma-informed counselling, advocacy, education, and a 24-hour support line for survivors across Edmonton.
We are grateful to support an organization that provides care, resources, and hope to people when they need it most.
Supporting safe housing and stronger communities
Waterloo Ford Proudly Supports Niginan Housing Ventures
Waterloo Ford is proud to support Niginan Housing Ventures and the meaningful work they do to provide safe, supportive, and culturally respectful housing in Edmonton.
Niginan helps create pathways to stability for individuals and families through housing, community support, and programs rooted in dignity and care. We are honoured to support an organization that is helping build stronger communities and creating lasting change for people across our city.
A Legacy of Care and Compassion
In the demanding world of retail automotive, mental health often takes a back seat. The challenges faced by dealership teams, especially during the pandemic, highlighted the critical need for support and understanding.
Pat Priestner, our founder, recognized this need and turned his personal reflections into action. Originally written as a heartfelt memoir for his children and grandchildren, Notes for the Children shares Pat's journey of overcoming personal and professional challenges while prioritizing mental well-being. Drawing from over 50 years in the retail automotive industry, he candidly addresses his struggles, lessons learned, and the practices that helped him navigate life's ups and downs.
Today, Pat visits our dealerships to share these experiences firsthand, fostering conversations around mental health and personal growth. His book is a blend of personal stories and practical advice—a testament to the transformative power of small, meaningful changes.
All proceeds from Notes for the Children will go to charities that support well-being across Canada, helping to extend the impact of his message beyond our organization.
