Becoming known for its luxurious and spacious interiors, the 2016 Ford Taurus is classified as a large, 5-passenger sedan; the cabin in the 2016 Ford Taurus has no space to waste as it makes optimized use of the sedan’s 198.6-inch length and 116.1-inch wheelbase, featuring a generous second-row leg, shoulder and hip room. The front-passenger seats are available in heated or cooled comfort levels and are equipped with three comfort settings; these ever-popular multi-contour driver and front-passenger seats, otherwise known as “massaging front seats”, feature seven seat bottom and lumbar air cushions. The SHO interior includes available leather-trimmed seats with Miko® inserts and SHO embroidery, aluminum pedals, woven aluminum appliqué, floor mats with SHO embroidery, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and SHO and EcoBoost® badging. Other interior features include ambient lighting with LEDs that illuminate the front and rear footwells, door handles and two front cupholders; you can choose from a variety of colors such as Ice Blue®, orange, soft blue, red, green, blue or purple, and adjust the light intensity from among the available five dimmer levels.

The 2016 Taurus offers a dynamic, sophisticated look with bold grilles that are designed to mesmerize and make a statement: it has signature LED lamps and sculpted lines that communicate motion even when Taurus is parked; the Taurus SHO Grille is also available in its unique Piano Black mesh design. The Taurus SHO has high-intensity discharge (HID) headlamps that are activated when you turn on your windshield wipers in automatic position. The 2016 Taurus comes in 3.5L Ti-VCT 24-valve DOHC V6, 3.5L EcoBoost® V6, and 2.0L Ti-VCT EcoBoost®I4 engines. The 3.5L engine delivers up to 288 horsepower and 254 lb.-ft. of torque with an EPA-estimated rating of 13.07L/100km in the city, 8.71L/100km on the highway and 11.2L/100km combined. The 3.5L EcoBoost engine generates 365 horsepower and 350 lb.-ft. of torque while 2.0L EcoBoost engine combines direct injection and turbocharging with twin independent variable-camshaft timing that results in 240 horsepower and 270 lb.-ft. of torque.
